Writers’ Slate Submission Guidelines

Students may submit work to be published in The Writers’ Slate

*Electronic submissions are now mandatory.

Please submit all entries (do not mail hard copies) as simple Word documents directly to: cdoolittle@writingconference.com 

Submission Deadlines:

  • June 15 for Fall Edition
  • January 15 For Winter Edition

Submissions should clearly indicate the following:

  • writer’s name
  • contact information (email address and phone number)
  • name of school, city, and state
  • teacher’s name
  • grade level  

 

Due to the number of submissions and mailing cost involved, the editors will only respond to a student author’s submission in an email if the submission is chosen for publication.  Submissions will not be returned.  The editors reserve the right to edit manuscripts for clarity, style, and according to space limitations.  Educators interested in writing pedagogical pieces should contact cdoolittle@writingconference.com
